Xinchejian was co-founded by David Li (李大维), Min Lin Hsieh (谢旻琳), and Ricky Ng-Adam (伍思力).


  • Min Lin Hsieh (谢旻琳), Community Organizer. Financial, organizational, marketing skills and experience in helping engineering projects and clubs.
  • David Li (李大维), Foreman. Network of contacts in the local community, passion and respect they hold for his technical achievements and knowledge of open hardware.
  • Ricky Ng-Adam (伍思力), Project Generator. ambitious ideas, engineering experience, strategic planning, community-building and evangelistic skills.


David Li (李大维):

David is the original founder of XinCheJian, he had a space up with Niko way back in the autumn of 2010. David is a key figure in China for technology from OpenHardware to social media. He's brought a lot of visibility to the space and is key to bringing interesting speakers to our Wednesday event and having the hackerspace participate in various event. He's also responsible for the long and arduous negociations for the new space at Changle road and Wulumuqi road. He's behind the creation of ardublock.com and the initiator of XCJ hydroponics efforts.


Min Lin Hsieh (谢旻琳):

Min Lin is one of the co-founder when XinCheJian was officially launched on March 26th 2011 at the Anhua road location. She volunteered one year full-time taking care most of operational aspects of the hackerspace. Most events planning, marketing, financial management and purchasing go through Min Lin. She's also been involved in the corporate workshop issues. Min Lin is currently looking for business development, technical Chinese<->French/English interpretation contracts, purchasing contracts, opportunities for corporate events and learning innovations.


Ricky Ng-Adam (伍思力):

Ricky is one of the co-founder when XinCheJian was officially launched on March 26th 2011 at the Anhua road location. He's worked on his own hardware startup spawned from XinCheJian (lophilo.com). He's currently working on the XPRIZE Global Learning project with his team, Literacy Schools.
