When working with others in the community or outside the community
It's always good to share knowledge and help others but sometimes people might not understand what they are asking from you.
- It's their project
- You do not work for them
- You can only be expected to help up to a point, you are not doing their project for them
- You get busy and have other obligations
- Consider a contribution for your help
- The more you help them, the less time you have to spend on your own projects
- You might suggest parts but if you did not offer to buy them, then this is their responsibility
- Any parts/tools you did buy they should refund you in full
- time has a cost, 5 minutes here 5 minutes there, it all adds up
- Dont expect to keep quite/sign a Non-disclosure agreement
- Dont expect it to work first time :)
- No warranty - implied or expressed is given
